Spanish Treatment Outreach Program

Due to the growing numbers of Hispanic people in the Capital Region, the Eleanor Young Clinic has begun offering a wider range of services for Spanish-speaking clients.

Several bilingual staff members have been specially trained to support the following services: weekly support groups for "English as a Second Language", in-house translation services, culturally competent referrals to appropriate outside agencies, gambling counseling, intakes and interviews.

Coming soon (as funding develops) are bi-lingual courses that are tailored to the needs of the Hispanic community, including relapse prevention, medical aspects, co-occurring disorders, support systems, and defense mechanisms.
