The Mobile Access to Psychiatric Services Unit responds to emergency calls for assessment, stabilization and management of the mentally ill or emotionally disturbed in crisis. Transportation may involve using the MAPS unit, emergency medical systems (Acadian Ambulance), law enforcement, significant others of potential clients or medical transportation.
