About Oakmont Center For Substance Abuse

The Oakmont Center is dedicated (mission) to providing services for individuals, family members, and relevant others who are adversely affected both directly and/or indirectly by substance abuse and dependency. An additional component of the program includes anger management. The Center's regular operating hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:30 AM - 9:00PM, Friday 7:30-5:00 PM.

The Oakmont Center is a private nonprofit (501-C-3) facility.

By providing a comprehensive alcohol and drug abuse prevention and education program (of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs---i.e., ATOD), one’s knowledge of substance abuse issues should increase significantly. Moreover, people must be informed about what drugs do, how to identify a problem when it exists---and also what can be done to resolve it. In the simplest terms, prevention means to keep something from happening. Thus the program’s mission is to provide prevention and education services so as to help high-risk/targeted groups (especially young children and youth) avoid, reduce, or eliminate altogether the adverse consequences of misusing and abusing psychoactive drugs.
