About American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Offerings include research publications and informational materials related to communicative disorders, links to organizations, information about locations offering support groups and open captioned movies, health insurance counseling, information about summer camps for children and adults with communicative disorders, legislative advocacy, and advice on how to advocate on a variety of important issues affecting health, education, and the practice of speech-language pathology and audiology. Maintains a searchable database of audiologists (professionals who diagnose hearing problems and fit and dispense amplification systems such as hearing aids) and speech-language pathologists A variety of services are available for students and professional including information about education, credentialing, and licensure; journals; continuing education; conferences; and others.
