About VFW National Home for Children

Disabled veterans who are VFW members can pursue VA Vocational Rehab while living at the National Home with his or her family. Sometimes it's just impossible for veterans to do Vocational Rehab and support a family at the same time.
Sometimes, the veteran is eligible for Vocational Rehab but is unable to participate because he or she cannot do so and continue to work and the same time, the veteran's family depends on what the veteran is able to earn and do. In situations like this, the veteran and family may come to the National Home to receive supportive services which allow their participation in VA Vocational Rehab.

Eligibility: A veteran who is: a VFW member; in receipt of VA service-connected disability compensation; and in pursuit of VA Vocational Rehabilitation, may participate in this program.
